OUR SCHOOL AND VISION

Logon

Our School

The Greek Community School at St. Cyprian’s provides a safe, happy and relaxed environment for young people to learn about all things Greek enhanced with school trips to museums, practical cookery and art classes, visiting speakers and performers and much more. Students are also encouraged given opportunities to learn about the efforts and contributions of volunteers in our own community and beyond, which helps them develop active citizenship.

We believe we have created a truly special environment and are extremely fortunate to have our lessons in a school where the Greek language, and religion are taught on a daily basis and are therefore very evident all around the school in displays and exhibitions elevating the value of the Greek language and enhancing the learning of our students.

Our Vision

Our vision for the Greek Community School is not only to develop a centre of excellence in academic performance but also to create a cultural centre, a focal point for the community of south London where families and friends can meet and socialise. A centre where parents, teachers, friends, young and old can work together with that unifying ethos and spirit of our school developed over the years. United with a common purpose we aim to promote community cohesion, Hellenism and the school’s aims and objectives; the values underpinning our work.

In order to maintain and ensure a high standard of education the Headteacher together with the Governing Body endeavours to recruit suitably qualified teachers of a high calibre in order to maintain the high standards of achieved to date reflected in the award of the GOLD QUALITY mark.
