St.Cyprian's Greek Community School is seeking to appoint Greek teachers with a degree in education or equivalent, or with extensive experience teaching in community schools. We offer a fantastic opportunity to become part of our very successful school and supportive Governing Body and community.
Candidates should demonstrate ability in:
planning, preparing and delivering lessons, helping pupils improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in Greek in individual and group sessions.
assessing students' work, and providing feedback.
preparing class and group resources,
preparing class assemblies,
Show a willingness and be prepared to:
help coordinate celebratory events such as Easter, Christmas and national day presentations
take part in the rota for break time duty, and
any other relevant duty such as the head teacher may require of you.
Candidates should demonstrate the following and will be reviewed during a 3 month probation:
Excellent time-management with good punctuality.
Excellent behaviour management.
Excellent written and spoken Greek
Candidates with teaching qualifications will be given priority however those with relevant degrees such as languages, psychology, sociology, will also be considered.
Working Days: Saturday Working Hours: 9.30am - 1:30pm
Requirements:
Be prepared to complete a DBS check (if you do not own a current one that is registered to the DBS update service).
Have necessary work documentation such as a valid passport, proof of address and permission to remain and work in the UK.
